Dr. Tritch graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Andrews University in 1984. He received his degree as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland in 1988 and completed his residency at the University of Maryland, Department of Family Medicine in 1991, where he also served as the Chief Resident in his last year. Dr. Tritch has been with Penobscot Valley Hospital since 2017 and serves as the President of the Medical Staff while also serving in the Emergency Department and as a Hospitalist.

Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine is the medical specialty that focuses on the immediate decision making and action necessary to prevent death or further disability. The emergency physician provides immediate initial recognition, evaluation, care, and disposition of a generally undifferentiated population of patients in response to acute illness and injury. The care provided by the emergency physician is episodic in nature and involves a full spectrum of physical and behavioral conditions.
