Penobscot Valley Hospital is committed to serve the healthcare needs in the Lincoln Lakes Region and we understand that you need information to make healthcare choices for you and your family. Our price estimator tool below will walk you through step by step so you can plan for the costs for treatment, tests, and procedures. We understand that it is important to plan the out-of-pocket expenses. 

You will need the name of the procedure or test you are planning to have, your insurance information, and any deductible, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximum amounts if you have them. After you submit this information you will receive the information for your planned services.

We are committed to help the people in the community including those who do not have insurance to cover their healthcare needs. We may be able to help you with our various discount options listed here: Billing Help including self-pay discounts, sliding scale and other programs. PVH provides healthcare without regard to race, creed, color, gender, age, national origin, or disability. 

To compare our hospital costs with others in Maine, additional estimates for healthcare services and  procedures can be found on the Main Health Data Organization’s CompareMaine website at www.comparemaine.org.  

Note these important points when using the Patient Estimator Tool: 

  • The tool provides an estimate only and is not a contract or guarantee of the actual cost for  services and are subject to change at any time without notice. 
  • Nothing in the estimate indicates medical necessity or appropriateness of treatment. PVH may not provide the services if they are not deemed medically appropriate or necessary.
  • The estimator does not indicate that PVH has gained any prior authorization or referrals that may be required with your insurance provider.
