Cardiopulmonary Services

The Cardiopulmonary Department performs testing for both inpatients and outpatients. Some of the services include:

Complete Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTs)

• Pre/Post Bronchodilator Spirometry 
• DLCO (Diffusion Capacity)
• FRC (Nitrogen Washout)

Oxygen Testing

• Nocturnal Oximetry 
• Rest/Exercise Oximetry
• Home Care Referral Establishment for Oxygen Services

Arterial Blood Gas Draws (ABGs)

• Radial draws
• Performed in lab by Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Test results immediately sent to provider upon completion  

Cardiac Outpatient Testing

• 12 Lead EKGS, 24&48 Hr Holter monitors, 14-day event monitors

Cardiac Stress Testing 

• Regular Stress testing overseen by PVH Hospital Physicians.

All results returned to PCP within 24 hours of test completion.
Abnormal test results are immediately reported back to your primary care physician.
