CT Scanning

Computed Tomography scanning services are provided weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with our 64-slice Siemens SOMATOM Perspective machine.

A CT scan (or computed tomography scan) is a medical imaging method that uses special X-ray equipment to obtain cross-sectional pictures of the body. The CT computer displays these pictures as detailed images of organs, bones and other tissues. This type of imaging can be very helpful for diagnosing injuries or fractures, and in identifying disease in its earliest stages.

The CT Scanner at PVH is specially designed with patient comfort in mind. The equipment works quickly, meaning less time is required on the table, and the scanner alludes to a more spacious atmosphere for patients during the exam. The machine also provides mood lighting.

The staff are very excited to offer this high level of technology to patients in our community. The machine can take 64-slices at a time, meaning faster exams for patients and more detailed images for staff. Innovative technology also detects a patient’s size, weight and anatomy to provide high-quality images with the minimally required dose of X-rays.
